Tues. Judges 16:1-21 Samson and Delilah
Today's Scripture is Judges 16:1-21. This passage talks about Samson and Delilah. Samson went to Gaza and saw a prostitute. He went to spend the night with her for some odd reason. When he arrived, the people of Gaza said, Samson is here! They decided to kill him at dawn.Samson woke in the middle of the night and took hold of two doors in the city gates. With the two posts, he tore the them loose, bar and all. He lifted them and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron.

Mon. Judges 15: 1-20 Samson and the Jawbone
Today's Scripture is Judges 15:1-20. This passage talks about Samson and the jawbone. It also talks about Samson's vengence on the Philistines. Samson took a young goat to visit his wife. H e went to his wife's room but her father would not let him in. Her father tried to give him her younger sister because her father thought that Samson hated his wife. Also because she was younger and more attractive.

Week 5 Bible Reading
Wed.:Judges 7:1-25:Gideon and the Midianites: In what area of your life do you need to trust God more?
Wednesday:Judges 7:1-25- Today's Scripture is Judges 7:1-25. This passage talks about Gideon and the Midianites. To make a long story short, Gideon defeated the Midianites. Early in the morning, Gideon and his men camped out at the spring of Harod. The Midianite camp was near the hill of Moreh. The Lord told Gideon that he had too many men.The Lord told Gideon to tell his men that anyone who trembles with fear can turn back and leave Mount Gilead. So 22,000 men left while 10,000 remained. After that the Lord said again,you still have too many men.So the Lord told him to take his men out too the water and he will take over from there. So Gideon took the remaining men down too the water and the Lord said that if he says this one shall stay then they will stay. And if he says that if this one shall be sent away they shall leave. So the Lord told Gideon to seperate the men as to whom laps water from the river like a dog and who kneels to drink from the river. 300 drank from cupped hands lapping like dogs and the other 9,700 got down on their knees too drink. God said that the 300 that drank from their hands like dogs, keep them and send the rest on their way. The Lord said that he would save Mideon with those 300 men.

Tues.:Judges 6:1-40: Gideon Becomes a Judge: What examples of obedience can be found in your life?
Tuesday:Judges 6:1-40-Today's Scripture is Judges 6:1-40. This passage talks about Gideon becoming a judge. The Israelites did evil in God's eyes. And because of that, God gave them into the hands of the Midianites, for 7 years. Gideon asked God if he could rule the people and become a judge. God said yes and gave him a chance. Gideon messed up. He begged God for 1 more chance and God gave him that chance.

Today's Scripture is Judges 4:4-24. Today's passage talks about Judge Deborah.Deborah is now leading the Israelites. God told her to get the people and lead them up to Mount Tabor.Deborah agreed to go with Barak to Mount Tabor. He did not want to go without her.
