Thurs. Job 2:1-13 Job and His Friends- Today's Scripture is Job 2:1-13. This passage talks about Job and his friends. The angels presented their presents before the Lord and so did Satan. The Lord asked Satan where had he come from and Satan answered and said from earth. The Lord asked Satan did he consider his servant Job. Satan said skin for skin. The Lord said ok then, he is in your hands. So Satan retured to earth. He told her that she was talking foolish and that they shall accept God and not trouble. Job did not sin.
When Job's 3 friends Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they met with him to sympathize and comfort him. When they say him from a distance they did not recognize him. They began to weep aloud and tore their robes and sprinkled dust on their heads. They sat on the grounds with him for 7 days and nights. No one said anything to him because they say how much he was suffering.

He ordered them to cut the child in two. The real mother of the child pleaded for her baby's life. The other said if I can't have him then neither can you. Split him in half. Solomon had the wisdom of God and gave the real mother her living child.

Wed. 2 Samuel 14: 1-33 Absalom Returns- Today's Scripture is 2 Samuel 14: 1-33. This passage talks about Absalom returning to Jerusalem. Joab knew that the king’s heart was for Absalom,so Joab sent someone to Tekoa and had a woman brought from there. He told her to pretend you are in mourning, dress in mourning clothes, and don’t use any makeup. Act like a woman who has spent several days crying for a lost loved one. Then she was ordered to go to the king and say what Joab told her too say. She went to the king and fell face down before him and said "Help me king." The king asked what was troubling her. She answered "I am a widow, my husband is dead." She told him that his servants had 2 sons and they go into a fight in the field and there was no one there to stop it. And that one hit the other and killed him. Everyone was going against the one that killed his brother. They want to put him to death. :(
When I have family conflict, I am usually not in it because I am the only child. Whenever I am at my dad's house there's a bunch of conflict. The way I handle it is to try and talk it out and then ask What Would Jesus Do.

Nathan told him that the Lord has taken away his sins. The punishment for David's sin is the child that was born unto him will die. David pleaded for the child. He spent nights praying and fasting. When I ask God's forgiveness, I feel that I should ot have done what I did in the 1st place, or I wouldn't have to ask for forgiveness. bUT We all make mistakes, it's human.

Week 1: Day 2 Bible
Tues. 1 Samuel 28: 1-25 Saul and the Occult: Today's Scripture is 1 Samuel 28:1-25. This passage talks about Saul and the Occult. Achish made David his bodyguard for life. They are going to fight the Israelites. I think that God would find things such as, trying to talk to the dead through wi tchcraft occult practices. Several other things too, such as claiming you are phycic or can tell the future.
Week 1: Bible
Mon. 1 Samuel 25: 1-42 David and Abigail: Today's Scripture is 1 Samuel 25:1-42. This passage talks about David, Abigail, and Nabel.
Samuel has died and Israel mourned him. David heard that Nabel was shearing sheep. So he sent 10 men to greet him in his name and to tell him "Long life to You". When David's servants arrived to Nabel and gave him the message, Nabel asked, "Who is this David?" And he alsop asked why should he take his bread, water, and meat that he had gathered for his shearers and give it away to men that he doesn't know where there are from or where they were going. God keeps me from making mistakes in life by either sending an angel to help me and guide me on my way or he speaks to me through someone or through the Holy Spirit.
