  1. Mon. Isaiah 6:1-13 God Chooses Isaiah- Today's passage is Isaiah 6:1-13. This Scripture talks about God choosing Isaiah and his commission. In the year that King Uzziah died, Isaiah saw the Lord high upon his throne. Above him was seraphim all with 6 wings: 2 used to cover their face, 2 to cover their feet, and the other 2 for flying. They were saying to each other, Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty, the whole earth is full of his glory. At the sound of his voice, the temple shook and was filled with smoke. Isaiah cried out, " I am a man of unclean lips, and I live amongst people with unclean lips. He had seen the King, the Lord Almighty. One of the angels flew to his and cleaned his mouth with a live coal.

  2. Tues. Isaiah 53 The Suffering Servant: Today's Scripture is Isaiah 53. This passage talks about the suffering servant. He grew up before him like a small plant. He had no beauty to attract us to him. He was despised and rejected by man, a man of suffering and pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces with low self-esteem. He took our pain and sufferings, but we considered him punished by God, stricken and afflicted. He was pierced for our sins and bruised for our iniquities and by his stripes we are healed. We are like sheep and have gone astray. Each of us has turned to our own way. He was talked about and mistreated, but did not utter a word.

Go into all the world and tell the gospel.

  4. Thurs. Jerem. 36 The Book Burning: Today's Scripture is Jeremiah 36. This passage talks about The burning book. In the fourth year of Jehoiakim, son of Josiah, king of Judah, a word came to Jeremiah from the LORD.It said to take a scroll and write on it all the words that the Lord had spoken to him about Israel. Maybe when the people of Judah hear about every disaster I plan to inflict on them, they will each turn from their wicked ways; then the Lord will forgive their wickedness and their sin.So Jeremiah called Baruch, son of Neriah, and while Jeremiah dictated all the words the LORD had spoken to him, Baruch wrote them on the scroll. Then Jeremiah told Baruch, that he is restricted and is not allowed to go to the LORD’s temple. So you go to the house of the LORD on a day of fasting and read to the people from the scroll the words of the LORD that you wrote as I dictated. Read them to all the people of Judah who come in from their towns. Maybe they will bring their petition before the LORD and will each turn from their wicked ways, for the anger and wrath pronounced against this people by the LORD are great. Baruch, son of Neriah, did everything Jeremiah the prophet told him to do, at the LORD’s temple he read the words of the LORD from the scroll. In the ninth month of the fifth year of Jehoiakim, son of Josiah, king of Judah, a time of fasting before the LORD was proclaimed for all the people in Jerusalem and those who had come from the towns of Judah. From the room of Gemariah son of Shaphan the secretary, which was in the upper courtyard at the entrance of the New Gate of the temple, Baruch read to all the people at the LORD’s temple the words of Jeremiah from the scroll.

  5. Fri. Jerem. 38:1-13 Jeremiah in the Well: Today's Scripture is Jeremiah 38:1-13. This passage talks about Jeremiah in the well.
Shephatiah son of Mattan, Gedaliah son of Pashhur, Jehukal son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur son of Malkijah heard what Jeremiah was telling all the people when he said, that the Lord said that whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine or plague, but whoever goes over to the Babylonians will live. They will escape with their lives and they will live. And the Lord said that this city will certainly be given into the hands of the army of the king of Babylon, who will capture it.
