Bible Blog:2-8-11

Tues. 1 Kings 22: 29-40 The Death of King Ahab- Today's Scripture is 1 Kings 22:29-40. This passage talks about King Ahab's death. King Ahab was killed at Ramoth Gilead. Jehoshaphat said that he was going to enter the battle in disguise, but for Ahab to wear his royal robe. The king of Aram told his soldiers not to fight with anyone small or great, only the king of Israel. When they saw Jehoshaphat they thought that he had to be the king of Israel. They attacked him, but when he cried out they assumed he wasn't the king of Israel. So they s topped attacking him. The king of Israel got struck by a straw bow and was wounded. He told his commanders to pull him out of the fight. His blood ran on the floor of the chariot, and that night he died because of too much blood loss. His body was brought to Samaria, and they burned him.

I am never tempted that I can hide from God. When I was little I did, but now I kn ow that he sees and hears everything.
