Bible Blog: 2-7-11

Mon. 1 Kings 21:1-29 The Stolen Vineyard- Today's Scripture is 1 Kings 21:1-29. This passage talks about The Stolen Vineyard. The vineyard that belonged to Naboth was in Jezreel. King Ahab asked Naboth to let him have his vineyard to use as a vegetable garden, since it was close to his palace. And in exchange he would pay or give him a better vineyard. But Ahad refused. He refused, because the Lord forbid him to guive away the vineyard that was left to him by his ancestors. Ahab went home angry. Ahad layed in his bed refusing to eat. His wife Jezebel came in and asked him why he wasn't eating properly. He told her. She told him too get up and eat. She said that she will get the vineyard. She wrote letters in Ahab's name to the elders and nobles in Naboth's city. They said that Naboth has been stoned to death.

Justice in my life can teach me what's right and what's wrong.
