Wed. 2 Samuel 5: 1-12 David Is King Over Israel- Today's Scripture is 2 Samuel 5: 1-12. This passage is about David becoming King over Israel. The Lord told Saul that he will take care of his people and rule over Israel. David was 30 years old when he was anointed to be king over Israel. He ruled for 40 years. David conquers Jerusalem. Hiram king of Tyre sent people to David to build him a palace.
